Getting a loan to get married

Julia Says
Maybe the banks should start one — wedding loan.

Have you ever thought about it? A wedding loan. I mean we have at some time or another heard of friends borrowing money from relatives to get married. The more common one being borrowing from one's parents to have the wedding. Now, we have all heard of car loans, housing loans, renovation loans. Why can't a bank start a wedding loan? It would be easy wouldn't it? I am not a banker but I reckon it must be far easier when you compare it to a housing loan or a car loan.

Let's see if the bank allows you to have a credit card with a spending limit of RM20,000. Essentially, the bank is saying you are good for a credit of up to RM20,000 right? Now, why can't they process a loan of about that amount with interest charged like any other loans except this is for a wedding? My gut feel tells me there is a demand for this kind of loan. So, if enough people walks up to the bank and asks about it may be it will seed the thought into them.
