Reception Ideas
Your budget determines your reception type. If you are on a shoe string budget, it is best
to choose an informal breakfast or brunch party, which usually lasts about 2 to 3 hours.
If you have a tad bit more to splurge, a high tea party would be best, held anytime
between 2 to 6 hours in the afternoon.
You could have your tea party at zany venues like Carcosa Seri Negara,
stately homes like Le'Coq Dor or even at pubs. There are many experienced caterers
who are able to cater to your requirements, ranging not only from food, but to decorations
too.
For the more formal wedding reception, there are a wide variety of venues to choose from,
be it conventional or alternative:
- Hotels - poolside or ballroom
- Restaurants
- Significant landmarks - mansions, stately homes, etc.
Hotels are the easiest - you can stuff all your guests in,
plus you don't have to worry about the weather. But remember to book early to avoid
dissapointments. Believe it or not, if you want your wedding reception to be held on a
weekend, most hotels in Klang Valley may require you to book a year in advance.
