Beautiful (contd.)
Closeup Pose
The closer you are to the camera, the better you need to look.
- Learn to be confident and brave.
Develop a like yourself attitude and learn to smile not only with
your face but with your heart.
- To find the best angel, experiment
in front of a mirror, or get a friend to snap digital photos. For
most people, facing the camera dead-on is least flattering. Try
tilting your head to one side or turn your face slightly away from
the camera. Gaze just above the lens for an approachable
expression. To avoid a double chin, tip your face down just a bit;
this also plays up the whites of your eyes.
- If you have a round face, bring your
hair forward to make shadows on it. If you have a long nose, avoid
shooting from above the eye level. If you have a short chin, shoot
it from a lower angel.
- If you are wearing a sleeveless
dress, don't press your bare arms against the body - it will
flatten the arms and look almost twice as big. Also, avoid lifting
your arms - you might never know, the cameraman might be a bit
adventurous and shoot the exposed underarm.
- To get wide pupils and make your
eyes look sexier and more expressive, try this trick. Shut your
eyes (for a short while) while the photographer is getting ready
and open them just as the picture is shot.
And of course, the most important advice
when taking photos is to have fun, fun, fun. Laugh, play, make jokes -
whatever - as long as you are enjoying yourself. And believe me, the
photos will look great!
