Full Body Pose
- The most important point you have to
remember is to breathe - people tend to get nervous and hold their
breath. Breathing out relaxes the face and body. Inhaling, on the
other hand, raises shoulders and gives you a panic look.
- If you are standing, always standup
straight. It makes you look confident. If seated, lean slightly
forward. Never allow yourself to slump back.
- To make waist look smaller, place
hands on hips with thumbs pointed down in front.
- If you're petite or heavyset, go for
a statuesque look. Tell the cameraman to angel the camera slightly
upward to elongate your figure.
- In a solo shot, extend one foot
forward or cross it over the other. Swiveling your hip will make
you look slimmer- a sure way of shedding the pounds visually. Or,
angel your body slightly diagonal from the camera. Stick to simple
gestures. Avoid standing with legs apart as it will enhance the
widening of the hip.
- In a group shot, put one foot before
the other, and one hip behind the person next to you.
- If you are holding a drink in your
hand and don't want it to appear in the picture, put the drink
down. Avoid hiding the drink behind your back - it gives you a
really stiff look.
