9 Easy Tips to Personalise Your Wedding

Weddings are a reflection of the personality of the bride and groom, and that is why it is important that you create your wedding to be as special and personal as you can. Here are some ideas on making your wedding more personal;

  1. Create ribbon messages
    Personal messages to the couple are usually written in a book. Why not give guests ribbons (approximately 0.5-1.0 m long) in different colours to write on, and then the ribbons to the car or a pole.

  2. Create message cards
    Create colourful message cards (in a variety of shapes) for guests to write personal messages, and place them in pretty bottles or containers. You can also stick the cards in a book.

  3. Use special postage stamps
    Buy postage stamps that are unique or symbolic to you to send your wedding invitations.

  4. Preserve the wedding bouquet
    Have your bridal bouquet pressed or dried after the wedding. It makes a lovely memorabilia.

  5. Modify the wedding veil
    Turn your veil into a decorative pillowcase for your room.

  6. Poems/Lyrics
    Put your favorite poem or lyric on everybody's place setting. You can go one step further by handwriting it yourself (only if you are good).

  7. Have some fun with guests
    Hire tarot card readers or caricaturists to keep your guests entertained during the wedding reception.

  8. Gift boxes
    Created little decorative boxes and place homemade cookies inside, with a special note which says... "sweet dreams and good night, love the bride and groom."

  9. Label the alcohol bottles
    Label the alcohol bottles with personal messages from the bride and groom and place it on the tables.
