Music may be a minor detail in the whole wedding occasion, but it is
still a 'must have' to bring out the atmosphere of the wedding. It is best to prepare
different music themes for different wedding occasions.
If you are having a church wedding, always have a soft background music playing whilst
awaiting the bride's march down the aisle. The safest bet is The Wedding March by
Mendellsohn. Romantic ballads and any soothing classical pieces will also be suitable.
Needless to say choose songs or music that suits a joyous occasion! If you are holding
your dinner at a hotel ballroom, some hotels do provide a CD with songs selection. Talk to
your banquet coordinator and ask what the hotel has in its library. Some hotels are known
to have quite a selection since they do wedding banquet all the time.
For the reception party, be creative and select your favourite songs to inject a dose of
nostalgia. Below is a select list of romantic songs you may want to play at your wedding.
