Bridal Shoes - It can be a nightmare
A groom shares with us his experience. We suggest you start early given
what this groom has told us.
When it comes to fashion, you can always see that the females/fairer sex tends to have an
obscene amount of choices. This applies to wedding couples, too. Once the bridal gown has
been selected, the bride must borrow, buy or steal a pair of bridal shoes to match her
gown! White gowns white shoes; ivory colored gown ivory colored bridal shoes
etc,
etc. This is the beginning of the groom's nightmare.
Do you know how many types of shoes there are and do you know how many shops there are? Do
you know where exactly to find what shoes? Believe me, once the bride go hunting for the
perfect pair of bridal shoes, the pressure is so great to find that pair of shoes that I
even have nightmare about it! You wouldn't believe the amount of walking and persuading
and consulting that you must do for her. Not only you have to accompany her, you have to
give her your point of view, your comments on color
sometimes you have to be like a
shoe sales person, explaining or justifying why you like or don't like the make, color,
pattern etc, etc.
But then again, you'll console yourself saying " It's her big day (and yours too, of
course), it's only fair that she wants to look her best on that day and by the way, it's
only once in a life time!" At the rate she's going, it better be!
P/s: Here I am talking about just the shoes for the bridal gown, I haven't even
mentioned the shoes for the evening gown! But always remember, to be on the safe side, get
her to buy 2 pairs one each for her gowns just to make sure you can have peaceful sleep at
night.
