Designer : RONALD FREAM
World renowned golf course architect Ronald Fream designed the two 18-hole courses in
Saujana. They are the 6,548 yards Palm or 'Cobra' Course and the 6,369 yards Bunga Raya or
'Crocodile' course. He had created two equally excellent but vastly contrasting challenges
for golfers. Fream's designs for both courses flow with the contours of the hilly terrain,
much of which was a palm oil estate before the golf course took shape in the mid-eighties.
Where possible, the original vegetation had been left untouched thus furnishing a classic
example of how man and nature can collaborate to create |

ordinary. As for the Bunga Raya, he designed the fairways wider and the green less tricky
but the terrain is just as spectacular in every way. It flows along a gently contoured
open terrain and offers scenic views, with series of lakes and streams that pose a unique
set of challenges. Fream's brilliant design has earned Saujana top accolades from the
golfing fraternity. Amongst which is the No. 1 Golf Course in Malaysia by Golf Malaysia
Magazine from 1991 to 1998 and Golf Digest (USA) in June 1999. |
