• 4th World Lion
Dance Championship
(July 7 - July 9)
The event will be held at
Genting Highlands Resort, Pahang whereby spectators will be treated to a dazzling display
combining Chinese culture, martial arts and mythology at this lion dance championship.
Competitors come from China, Macau, Japan, Vietnam and Singapore.

International Towerthon
(July 30)
Practice well before today
for this will be the highest staircase run in Asia. Runners will be making an 800-meter
steep uphill dash to the base of Menara Kuala Lumpur before running up another 2058 steps
to conquer the 4th tallest communication tower in the world.
• Malaysia
Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Show (MAHA) 2000
(July -
August)
An annual event to
celebrate the cultural diversity and richness of Malaysia’s agricultural world. A
national “farmer’s day”, there will also be opportunity for entrepreneurs,
farmers and government bodies to showcase their products and services.
