The patio is framed by a large maroon canopy and is littered with tables and rattan chairs. Shrubbery shields Sambo's from the unsightly scene of cars on the road and creates a relaxed first impression. The "countryard" to the rear is lovely. Chill out among gorgeous palms and giant succelent plants and though it can be a little stuffy there, on a cool night, there is naught to complain about and all to appreciate.

Music is in the form of soft, unintrusive R & B and ballads and piano music, but only if you have a pianist in tow. Currently, Sambo's is a few ivory keys short of being a full-fledged piano bar but the potential is there. For now, Sambo's operates mainly as a cafe, not a fine dining restaurant, althought it can look like it. The menu is relatively limited with items such as crowd favourite Sarawak laksa (RM12), nasi lemak (RM10), shepherd's pie (RM10), spaghetti bolognaise (RM10) and chicken pie (RM12) on offer. Sample

the laksa, which is an authentic recipe from one of Rhona's Sarawakian friends. The kitchen closes at 10.30pm while HH are from noon to 8pm with Carslberg draught one for one at RM12.50 nett.

Cafe Sambo's also organises birthday, anniversary, children's and launch parties and adds variety and fresh style to the Changkat Bukit Bintang area.
