A
Woman's Sweet Revenge
Angeline
Jolie attributes her securing the role of kick-butt Lara Croft in Tomb
Raider as sweet revenge against ex-hubby, actor Jonny Lee Miller.
It seemed that her ex-hubby used to be a great fan of the hugely
popular computer game and would spend hours whiling his time on Lara,
so much so that Jolie viewed her as 'competition'. Now that she's
playing Lara on the silver screen, it is 'a woman's revenge'.
Jolie is currently married to Billy Bob Thornton (of Sling Blade, Pushing
Tin and Armageddon fame) and apparently, his two kids think that
it is 'absolutely cool' that their step-mom will be playing Lara.
Jolie received raves for her role as a tough-as-nails lady cop
opposite Denzel Washington in The Bone
Collector and subsequently won a Best Supporting Actress award for
Girl, Interrupted. Now an
A-list actress, she is cast opposite Nicholas Cage in Gone
In 60 Seconds. The movie is scheduled for released in Malaysia in
August.
