'The
Mummy' Sequel
A sequel to The Mummy 2,
which was a big hit in Malaysia last year, is currently being shot in
Morocco. Fans will be happy to know that the cast from the first movie
is being retained. Brendan Fraser is treasure hunter Rick O'Connell
ala Indiana Jones with Rachel Weisz as his love interest Evelyn
Carnahan. Also back is John Hannah as Evelyn's bumbling brother,
Jonathan.
In the The Mummy 2, Fraser & Weisz has to stop the
terror Mummy when it begins wrecking havoc in London. Directed and
written by Stephen Sommers, The Mummy 2 is expected to be
released in May 2001.
