Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah XI and Duli
Yang Maha Mulia Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Siti Aishah graced the
Royal Charity Premiere of 'The Patriot' held at the GSC Mid Valley, on
19 July.
They were accompanied by Datuk Chua Jui Meng and several other
parliamentary ministers. A cocktail reception was held in their honour
at the Gold Class Lounge of GSC Mid Valley.
Dato' Dr Ismail Merican, President of the Malaysian Liver
Foundation presented a token souvenir to His Majesty the King and
Datuk Dr Hajjah Saleha Mohd Ali presented to Her Majesty the Queen.
The Premiere was held by the The Malaysian Liver Foundation, a
non-profit charitable organisation dedicated to public education,
training of doctors and allied professionals and research into all
aspects of liver diseases.
Although the tickets were
priced at RM50 and RM100, it was nevertheless for a worthy cause. The
funds raised from the Premiere will enable the Foundation to achieve
its many aims and objectives dedicated to the eradication of all
aspects of liver diseases especially hepatitis and liver cancer in
Malaysia.
