Green Bee In His Bonnet
Variety Magazine has reported that Jet Li has
agreed to play Kato in Universal Pictures' Green Hornet project. According to
Variety, Jet Li will be paid USD$5.2M plus five percent of the film's gross for taking the
role once played by the late Bruce Lee. The lead role is still reportedly open to takers.
But Jet Li would have to find time for Green Hornet in his busy schedule as he's
already currently committed to an action movie project with The Messenger: The Story Of Joan of Arc
director Luc Besson. He has also agreed to Joel Silver's The First King and is
currently in negotiations to star in the Matrix sequels. Jet Li was last seen in Romeo Must Die, which was a box-office hit in
Malaysia a few months ago.
