Looks like Shu Qi is trying to be taken seriously as an actress, but she could well do with a better script than "My Loving Trouble 7". After being hand-picked by Jackie Chan as his leading lady in 'Gorgeous' (bad choice), we last saw her in "Metade Fumaca", which I personally found to be a 'no-make-sense' kind of movie. Maybe I am too critical. Besides, she didn't have much of a role in "Metade Fumaca", all that was required of her was literally to sit and look pretty. Really!

Back to the issue at hand, what do I think of "My Loving Trouble 7"? Entertaining enough to watch to pick faults, but I have to admit, there are some pretty funny moments, not original, but alright. What I found distasteful was its copycat ideas from "Entrapment" and the movie starring Meg Ryan and Matthew Broderick, "Addicted To Love", I think. Come on, where's the originality? I lost my appetite for my popcorn already.

Well, Shu Qi played Julia, a secret agent who was enlisted and trained by a secret organisation for industrial espionage, and the works. Basically she wants out, but it isn't that easy. To add to her dilemma, her new partner is a freshie who just seems to enjoy shopping, dancing and constantly irritates Julia with her chirping. And coupled with that, this new guy is like really in love with her 'coz she is soooo beautiful (note my sarcasm here?) and he has this two stupid cronies to help him win her heart. Phew!

That's basically it in a nutshell. So is it still worth your bucks to go watch it? Only if you are a Shu Qi fan. Are there any out there? Hallo....??
