This is a fairly simple story which
does not go overboard with nonsensical and meaningless scenes. Ok....no car chases, no
rape scenes, unnecessary fights or love scenes. The movie touches on reality and the
conflict of emotions that a man goes through in his life to achieve his desired ambition.
It talks about the choices he has to make to fit within the realities of life.
Although the movie may seem a little
dragging at times, it is not all that boring because some of us may be able to connect
with the character in the movie. Ajith is his usual self in the character of Srithar and
he carries the role fairly well. He seems to be acting in a number of movies that require
him to be intense. I kind of miss his comedy performances. As for Jothika, she has
improved in her acting and I enjoyed her role in this movie. Nothing fancy.
The rest of the cast were very much
in sync and sort of blended naturally into the story. The songs composed by Deva are
rather melodious too although I am sure I have heard the tunes from a couple of English
songs.
Well, at some point of time in our
lives we have to make choices and then we think whether the choices we make are the right
ones. 'Srithar' made me think whether the choices I made along my life are/were right. Why
don't you check this movie out for a change. It would definitely keep you guessing on a
number of things. |
