Apartment No 13
("Apartment Shomareh 13")
Masha'allah Iranmanesh, who resides in Kerman, inherits an apartment in
Tehran. He decides to sell the apartment in order to buy a shop in Kerman and to get
married. However, he had not anticipated the difficulties he will face in selling the
apartment due to the differences among the inhabitants of the building, and in the end he
decides to sell the apartment at a lower price to a bully who can intimidate the
neighbours. Faced by a common adversary, the neighbours ask Masha'allah not to sell the
apartment to a man they feel will terrorize them, and Masha'allah agrees to change his
mind in order to bring about peace and harmony in the building.
The Ship Angelica ("Kashti-e Angelica")
During the British Supremacy in the Persian Gulf and towards the end of the
Qajar dynasty, an Iranian adventurer is funded by the Shiraz governor to locate a sunken
ship loaded with gold, in return for a share in the treasure. The British finds out about
their plans.
Bashu, The Little Stranger
("Bashu Gharibeh Kouchak")
Bashu loses his home and family in an air raid, and flees to a foreign
region. There, a woman takes pity on him and accepts him as a son despite difficulties and
the objections of relatives. Gradually, the both of them discover new ground for a closer
spiritual relationship.

The Runner ("Davendah")
Lonely Amiroo dreams of victory and of journeys to the unknown. He has a huge
thirst for knowledge. He lives on an abandoned ship, takes on casual jobs by day and
attends school at night.
Awarded the Grand Prize at the 8th Festival of 3 Continents Nantes. received Domenico
Meccoli & Mayor's Golden Plaque at the 20th Giffoni Film Fest & was selected
"10 Best Asia Pacific Films" at 2nd Tokyo Int'l Film Fest
Sara ("Sara")
Hessam has to travel abroad for medical treatment. His wife, Sara, pays for
the expenses, from an inheritance from her father. Hessam later finds out that there was
no inheritance and that Sara had accepted financial assistance from a forger.
Awards won: Best Script & Best Supporting Actress at the 11th Fajr Int'l Film Fest,
Best Film & Best Actress at the 41st San Sebastian Int'l Film Fest, 3 Prizes at the
15th Festival of 3 Continents Nantes, 2nd Best Film at the 5th Rennes Int'l Film Festival

Nargess ("Nargess")
Adel has been leading a life of petty thievery together with Afagh since his
adolescence. When Nargess appears in Adel's life, his relationship with Afagh
deteriorates.
Awarded the Best Musical Score and Best Director at the 10th Fajr International Film
Festival.
The Blue Veiled ("Rusariye Abi")
Rasul is the owner of a tomato farm and factory. He lost his wife several
years and lives alone now. Nobar is a girl who has to support her family. She is selected,
along with several other women, to work on the farm.
Pari ("Pari")
Pari, an arts and literature student, undergoes profound spiritual
development when she reads The Green Book which recounts the spiritual progress of an
anonymous 5th century mystic.

The Bride ("Arus")
A young couple sets out on their honeymoon. During the journey, they start
reminiscing about the circumstances of their first meeting. Gradually, some disturbing
facts are brought to light.

Director, Best Editing & Best Music at the 9th Fajr Int'l Film Fest.
Paper Airplanes
("Mooshakhe-e Khaghazi")
An official of the Cultural Department and his son travels to distant
villages to show films. They arrive at a beautiful village where the inhabitants have
never seen a film before.
Awarded the First Prize at the Cine Junior Int'l Film Fest Paris, Special Jury Prize -
39th Children's Film Fest, Best Film - 2nd Olympia Int'l Film Fest Greece, Special Mention
Award - L'alternative Film Fest, Spain.
Beyond The Fire
("Ansouy-e Atash")
Two brothers quarrel over the money paid to them by the oil company for their
farm house. A barefoot milkmaid intervenes and settles their dispute. This film focuses on
the adverse conditions of life of people who live in oil fields in South Iran.
