Good Luck (tam)
Filmed mostly in Malaysia,
this movie revolves around Prasanth, a rich boy from Malaysia who falls in love with Riya
Sen who comes to Malaysia for a dance performance. Riya eventually succumbs to the charms
of Prasanth and they make plans to tie the knot. However as in all love stories, there is
a twist. While, Riya is away in Thailand for a dance performance, Prasanth receives a call
from his family doctor about a child who has a heart problem. The doctor informs Prasanth
that the child belongs to Prasanth out of an affair he had with a girl in Ooty, India. A
shocked Prasanth denies this allegation vehemently and asks the doctor to perform a DNA
test. In the meantime, Prasanth forms a close bond with the child and grows to love her as
his own. The doctor comes back with the results of the DNA test, which confirms that
Prasanth is not the father of the child. Upon investigation, they find out that the actual
father is Prasanth's brother Raguvaran. How Prasanth deals with this truth and his own
love affair form the rest of the story. Starring: Prasanth, Riya Sen, Ragivaran, Sukanya,
Vayapuri, Vivek |

What do I think about the movie??
Hmmmm
well, it is something different but the acting
.boy, a
few of the actors and actresses need to get refresher courses. Riya Sen looked so
artificial in the movie that I was trying my best to tolerate her.
Besides that, this surely was not
Prasanth's best by far. He has done better. Since it was shot mostly on home ground, that
gives an added advantage to some of us who would like to ogle at our own pretty sights.
The sights are pictured in the catchy songs. Although, it's rather strange to see Prasanth
and Riya running around the gigantic artificial plant near Dataran Merdeka.
The comedy scenes are pretty
entertaining. One scene that caught my attention was Vivek drinking teh tarik out of a
plastic packet. Now, that is so Malaysian. Do you think you would be able to find that in
India? I reckon, not.
Watch it if you are a die-hard
Prasanth fan or if you did not get enough of Riya in Taj Mahal. You have been
forewarned. |
